Does anyone know what this is?

Question:
Quite often I get these small, hard, yellowish particles that are attached to the hair root. It doesn't hurt or itch but I don't know what it is. I'm not sure if it's dandruff because it's not flaky. It's like it's some kind of build up. If you have any idea please help!

Answers:
It's seborrhec Dermatitis or oily dandruff, and it can be natural as in something you are predisposed to or caused by trauma from over processing, coloring or bleaching too much too often or burning the scalp.

Take Biotin which is a vitamin over the counter, cut back on your yeast intake and take acidophillus or eat yogurt, use the dark blue bottle of dandruff shampoo by head and shoulders with zinc or go to your dermatologist and get their shampoo which is prescription only. Just do something about it... It causes baldness if you leave it go. It gets worse.

Other Answers:
Use castile shampoo regularly as we all produce dead material at different rates and quantities. Start with that.
i've seen my cousins have something like that from not rinsing all the shampoo out of their hair. so take some extra time in the shower and make sure all of the shampoo and conditioner is out.
It's only sebum which is the body's natural lubricant. try a shampoo for oily hair. Also after blowdrying apply a good stiff hairspray. That should at least slow the production down. Good luck
