If the person had low blood sugar, the exertion of playing might have made the blood sugar even lower, causing symptoms such as weakness, fainting, shaking, etc. (the person wouldn't have to have ALL the classic symptoms.) Oral sugar would restore the blood sugar level very quickly, then the symptoms would disappear. Sounds like this person needs to be evaluated by a doctor.
