What does a seizure feel like? I have had this thing going on in my head and it's really bothering me.?

Question:
What does a seizure feel like? I have had this stuff going on my head for some time now and have seen an ENT, an Allergist, my intern and it just keeps getting worse. My personality seems to have changed within the last week or so from laid-back and fun to I just don't give a **** about anything. I'm ready to go to ER and ask for an, see, I forgot what it's called and I know the word very well, Not a CAT scan but the other one. Help someone.

Answers:
I think you should see a Neurologist. He would schedule an MRI and the Brain MRI (I will be honest, it isn't a pleasant test) but, it will show what is going on up there. I have had many of them in the last 7 years. Have you had any type of head trauma? Have you experienced or experiencing a lot of headaches? Or, is it just the personality thing that has you concerned? Seizures you wouldn't remember, at least I do not remember mine, some might be different. Do you hear ringing in your head, like in your ears? Like you hear white noise? He might also do a EEG of your brainwaves also. Hope this helps you. Mine showed that I had TIA's which are mini-strokes and I also suffer from Meniere's which gives you a strange aura and you suffer from loss of control due to vertigo, drop attacks and can't get off the floor., panic attacks are a large part of my life also. THERE ARE SO MANY THINGS IT COULD BE YOU NEED TO SEE A NEUROLOGIST, HE DEALS WITH THE BRAIN MORE THEN ANY OTHER DOCTOR.

Get yourself to Dr tell him what you feel and that your getting worse. Good luck hope everything is ok.

uhm, it feels a little different for each person.. but- You usually dont even feel it until it happens or right before it happens. When you have a seizure you fell like you are swallowing your tongue and then you pass out and the scan you cant remember the word to is MRI.

It's an MRI. I am epileptic and I couldn't tell you what they feel like. I don't remember what happens. I can tell you how I feel before and after. Before I feel sort of crappy a little off kilter it's a little hard to explain. And after I don't really remember anything until about 15 minutes after it's over. It sounds more like you are depressed. My seizures don't cause me to get down but the meds can

well if u hav pains in ur head then ask your doctor, and he will send u to a specific doctor. If they do the circle problem (where they send you to the same doctor and the doctor sends you back) then ask a different doctor. Good luck m8, hope it gets bettah

There are many types and severity of seizures. I used to have them all the time. I was on a driving trip and keeping a written diary and I'd feel really 'heady' and anxious and looking back at the diaries I could see the loss of control I had over my writing.
It sounds to me like you're probably clinically depressed. If you go see a good psychiatrist and get anti-depressant meds, you will probably also be given an anti-convulsant along with it. I don't know why depression can cause these less severe convulsions, but they do.
If you were have major, or grand mal siezures, you wouldn't remember having had it. Like when people smoke cocaine it isn't uncommon for them to go into a seizure, after which they are just disoriented and don't remember any of it.
Also, not giving a crap about things is a good indicator of depression. It can be helped, so go see someone please!

When you have a seizure you will know because you usually black out..for instance there are the seizures where you just "daydream"/stare off into another world.then of course you have the grand mal seizures that leave you completely paralyzed and unconscious..you will know when you have these because the inside of your mouth (the sides or your tongue) will be bitten.and if you feel this way then maybe you shouldn't be driving & you really need to speak to your doctor or Neurologista about taking an EEG.hope it helps..you can also get more info. on some Epileptic websites.it is a very serious matter and should be taken care of immediatly..best of luck..
