Why is it that there is still no cure for HIV/AIDS and the number of kids without parents is growing?
Question:
Answers:
Because the HIV virus is very difficult to make a vaccine for. Everytime the virus multiples to changes itself a little bit. Doctors can make an antibody to protect a person against any one variation, but the problem is that there a BILLIONS of variations. Doctors are currently researching a way to vaccinate people against all strains of HIV, but it is a difficult process.
Other Answers:
No cure for cancer either, and it has been around longer and kills more people than HIV/AIDS.
I don't know, but I'd lay money on you reckoning it's all about God's divine retribution or some such pious crap. The money that drug companies receive for drugs to treat HIV/AIDS far exceeds the money they would make on a drug that actually CURED the disease. There is no money in a cure, but if you can make patients(customers) live longer, you can make a fortune. A similar comparison can be made to flashlight battery manufacutrers, or light bulb makers. The technology exists to make a product that lasts forever, however if they did, nobody would purchase more than one, thus driving themselves out of business.
the fact is that there IS a cure for HIV. its called leukocytic filtration. you filter out the infected blood cells and let the healthy cells grow. its that simple. its not done very often though. its way too expensive for a middle-class American to afford.
Even if you get an inoculation for a virus, you still get the bug, you just don't get sick as long. If you get sick with AIDS for 5 years and die or you get it for 10 years and die, it doesn't make much difference.
i honestly think to control the population.just that simple.
