is it in their gene?
Question:
Answers:
no
cancer is not hereditory
Other Answers:
genes can affect cancer but isnt the only cause
Not entirely. Those with tumors and/or cancer tend to have a predisposition to it. It doesn't mean it neccessarily runs in the family.
could be where they live too. exposure to carcinogens can have an effect.
the vast majority of cancers have an environmental cause and not a genetic cause. Ie the toxins in our environments (smoking, smog, pesticides, chemicals) cause more cancers than genetics. That said, genes can predispose one to developing particular cancers when combined with certain environmental factors.
