Yeah, I know. My girlfriend of 20 years is schizophrenic. During that 20 yrs. I've been assaulted, accused of acts that are simply BIZARRE, and burned out of my apt. Yet, I didn't blame her. She did all of that ONLY because her medication "bottomed-out" or needed adjustment. Now, she can recognize the warning signs of a "cycle" and she checks herself into a psych. unit before it gets out of control. She has learned that schizophrenia does not dictate her life anymore. She has learned how to live WITH it and so have I. In spite of her disease, she's my best friend and we are engaged. All I can say is TAKE YOUR MEDS! It WILL improve.
