A question not for the easily squeamish?

I got my gallbladder taken out in march 2006 and ever since i want to say May i have had diarhea on and off. I hardly have a solid bowel movement. whenever i go somewhere far i am scared to eat because of my condition. when i feel it coming i need to rush and look for a restroom because it feels like i am going to have an accident. the color of my stools are yellow, green, brown and sometimes looks black. I was just wondering if anyone out there who has had their gallbladder out has had any of these symtoms? sorry for the visual!

i itch all over really really badly,i cant sleep, sore skin, crawling, palms sore.worst after drinking alcohol.?

Answers:
Diarrhea after gallbladder surgery is actually pretty common. The function of the gallbladder is to store bile, which contains digestive salts made by the liver. During meals, the gallbladder releases the stored bile salts into the intestine to help with digestion. After food is digested and absorbed in the intestine, the bile salts are also reabsorbed and recycled. After gall bladder surgery, the liver must make more bile salts, and more are released between meals because there is no place to store them. The increased amount of bile salts can sometimes overwhelm the intestines' capacity to absorb them. In turn, the unabsorbed bile salts can prompt the colon to secrete fluids, leading to diarrhea. This is a benign, although obviously annoying condition.

There are medications, such as Questran, that bind the excess bile salts for patients who experience severe diarrhea. Talk to your doctor about it.

Well for starters I would be going to your docter about those conditions to make sure that everything is doing what it is supposed to be doing in your body. I have not had my gallbladder taken out though. But thats what i would suggest, see your docter the professional.

What is the name of an eye condition that makes the eye extremely painful to go out into bright open sunlight?

My husband had his gall bladder out 6 years ago and never experienced any of the things you describe. You need to see a doctor and have a total check up, specifically bowel. A colonoscopy would be in order, because constant diarrhea is not normal, it could be IBS or Crohn's or Diverticulitis. It also could have something to do with your liver. The different colors you describe might have something to with the bile. Please do yourself a favor and get checked out.
