I went to the ER?

Question:
I went to get meds at the ER. I showed the 5 hr. glucose test. It reads: 130 fasting, .5 hr.=298, 1hr=316, 2hr=277, 3hr=205, 4hr=124, 5hr=87. My A1C is 6.3
He saw my meds for the neuropathy. He said my pancreas was working some..it was trying to do it's job. I am 238 pounds so I understood when he told me to lose weight. everything was working harder because of it. He said to exercise even if I had to do it stationary. Do arm weights, walk when I can. Exercise will start off the metabloism and burn some glucose. I have a liver disease in remission, he and I both agreed it woun't be to my benefit to cause the liver to work harder and have to deal with the toxcity of the meds and its side effects as well. I tried to go without the pain meds but I am walking with the aid of crutches right now and in so much pain, I will take them now. I DO Have a new doctor I will meet in November. I want to say thank you to everyone who responded! You all make a difference!~Thank you Everyone!

Answers:
Glad for you. Have they got you on Lyrica? It's much less chance of damaging the liver and kidneys than Neurontin and works very well with pain from peripheral neuropathy. I have a friend with diabetes/PN and it's working well for him.
im glad i could help
