how did my unborn baby get and die from vasculatis?
Question:
Answers:
I'm sorry for your loss. I can't begin to imagine what it must be like.
Vasculitis is an inflammation of the blood vessels. It's most often an immune or allergic reaction. The white blood cells invade and damage the walls of the blood vessels. The vessel walls swell, so the inside of the vessels become smaller and blood flow is reduced as a result. It is usually a symptom of a disease, when it occurs in adults. It is not necessarily deadly, but it can be at times, depending on which vessels are irritated.
With a baby, my first thought would be, genetic testing to see if you're predisposed to passing on defective genes that could cause such a thing. I would also request copies of the medical records, and read them. You'll probably need to use a search engine to look up medical terms as you read. If you have a medical professional available, a doctor or nurse in your family, church group, the spouse of a colleague. ask them for help. If you really feel that your doctors are not giving you enough answers, get a new doctor or midwife, contact Planned Parenthood, whatever you have to do, and ask for help. If you have bad or no insurance, doctors might not see you, but most midwives will talk and answer questions for free.
Chances are, though, the baby was just fine at the last checkup before you had the pain. Chances are that pain was the symptom of the vasculitis producing a blood clot, that probably was when the baby died. There was probably nothing that could be done, unfortunately. But you still have a right to know, and understand, all of what's happened. Don't stop until you get your answers.

I don't really know anything about the subject but to me it sounds like they might be hiding something. You have every right to know the details and they can't with hold information from you about how it happened. I would get some help investigating it a lil bit, it could be malpractice that they are trying to cover up. I am very sorry to hear about your loss and I hope you are able to have children in the future.
I don't have an answer to your question, but please know that my heart goes out to you in your loss. Consider yourself hugged from cyber-space. I hope you find the answers you are looking for.
