I suffer from Fibromyalgia...does anyone else with this syndrome have really heightened senses?

Question:
I find it almost impossible to wear anything on my wrists, neck, ankles...it feels like my skin is crawling to the point of being painful. I'm very light sensitive, can't stand strong chemical smells, too much noise, etc. I have to wear all my clothing loose & even socks are an issue. I've had this for years & was simply wondering if other folks share this part of the illness. Yes...I have all of the other symptoms (pain, etc.) but am finding this to be the most difficult.

Answers:
Yes, this is many of the associated symptoms of this condition. I have it and am having a lot of trouble coping. This is a very good site. I don't know if you have been there or not. Go check it out.

Yes, I can't even wear jeans anymore. I'm wearing sweatpants mostly. I can wear my stretch jeans long enough to run to the store and back. I'm very senstive to sunlight. Also, I wear socks that are all stretched out so they aren't tight. Smells don't bother me too much, unless something is moldy. Loud noises are the pits. I wear very loose slippers even. In the summer, I don't put anything on my feet except leather flip flops.......
Please see the webpages for more details on Fibromyalgia.
Yes, today my husband was breathing on my arm and it was painful. He was sitting beside me looking at the monitor, I could feel the air he exhaled. I also have a problem with noise, especially background (TV) noise...I cannot concentrate when the tv is playing and I am using the phone or talking to someone in the same room.
