Has anyone ever had their index finger to become swollen and ice cold due to a fingernail fungus?.?

My advice...Take him to the doctor for a second opinion! It could be anything from an infection, to a malignant growth. It sounds like it's not your run-of-the -mill fungus.
My experience with men going to the doctor is that they do not explain the pain and symptoms to their doctor like they do to their spouses...(always wonder why this is...). But anyhow, go with him, insist they check for infection, circulation, nerve issues, etc. Good luck.

I agree with sunday siren. The fact that it's cold suggests that it has poor circulation. If something isn't done about it he could end up losing the finger.
