it could be a pimple. during the summer heat, your head sweats and it causes oil and it could be that it is forming therefore causing some soreness. is it a pimple? i saw on tv a woman who went to belize on a vacation and weeks after she got home she had a big sore bump, well some sort of a fly had laid an egg in her hair, it went into her head and they had to cut the bump open and pull out this huge ugly grub.
