Does anybody with epilepsy have declining memory, balance and motor function abilities?
Question:
Answers:
Ive had epilepsy for a year and a half. During the first year or so, Id have grand mals about 2 or 3 times a month. During that time I lost quite a bit of memory. Its really hard on me because my friends will ask me something about the last few years and I have no idea what they were talking about. My college years are foggy. But its coming back very slowly. As for balance, Ive always been a klutz, so I cant go blaming it on the seizures :)
I think a person with epilepsy who has had it for many years and the seizures are not controlled may have some declining memory and motor functions. If the seizures can be controlled by medication then the person can lead a normal life.
