My psoriasis comes and goes by the amount of tomatoes I eat. If I refrain from eating tomatoes I am free from psortasis

I have had psoriasis for 15 years now and no there is no cure but there are various treatments that can help calm it down, nothing will stop it permanently
The types of stuff a doctor (dermatologist not a general health doctor) range from creams, steroids creams, UV treatments, injections and tablets that stop the body producing new cells altho they all have bad side effects.
I used every cream available and none of them worked for me, I couldn't have the UV treatment as the sun actually makes mine worse so the only option left for me was tablets to stop my body making new cells, there is a high risk of kidney failure with these tho and they are not prescribed unless the psoriasis is very severe indeed.

I have not heard of a cure.but there is a cream(skin cylic) and a spray (skin zinc) .had to purchase from states through the mail.so far this is the only pruduct that has helped.

When I was pregnant my poriasis disapeared completely.The midwife said it had something to do with changing hormones.I realise a man could not be given female hormones,but it`s about time reseach was done into why this happens and if a synthesized drug could be found.

Psoriasis can be greatly helped by going on a diet to alkalise the body. Acids provoke it. definitely cut out tea,coffee, soft drinks, acidic fruit. Dried fruit and bananas are quick alkalisers. also take a Calcium/Magnesium supplement. Omega 3 fish oils reduce the inflammation.

The NHS do a UV treatment for psoriasis, you basically have to go and stand in a big sunbed-type thing and get blasted with UV rays. It only takes two minutes or so at a time and is really effective. My partner had it quite badly over his legs, arms and feet and it cleared up completely. It has slowly come back but not to the extent it was and he is due to go for another course soon. ASK YOUR GP TO REFER YOU TO A DERMATOLOGIST.
