ARGH! It's Syrofoam! Run for ur life!?
Question:
Does styrofoam really contain carcagins? From drinking out of a styrofoam cup, can you really increase your risk of cancer?
Answers:
I think that the styrofoam does contain small amounts of carcagins in it, as well as styrofoam take out boxes, and plates, but that shouldn't be something to worry about too much. HOWEVER, it is absolutely critical that you do not microwave your food or drinks in these containers because THEN the elements in the styrofoam are activated and have a much higher precentage of carcagins. Also, you are not suppose to reuse water bottles more than just the first time. It has something to do with the chemicals in the plastic coming out into the water (this is especially true when you freeze or heat the bottles).
