What to do when you have recurring nasal polyps and surgery isn't helping. How can you get rid of them?

I used multiple courses of antibiotics along with steroid tapers. Helped while I was on it, but polyps came right back. I also used a steroid nasal spray (like Flonase or Nasonex.) I had the surgery which helped quite a bit, but they did recur. I ended up going to an allergist and we worked very aggressively to manage my allergies better (I was put on Clarinex and Singulair along with the Flonase.) I haven't had a problem since.
What surgery have you had? I had tumor removed from maxiliary sinus cavitiy in cheekbone; subsequently had four ethmoidectomies/antrotomies. Is that what you've had? I don't know if the growths were actually "polyps"; all I know is that I still suffer but due to scar tissue and trauma to right side of face they can't really do anything more; also, the scarring blocks sight of specifics on that side, so among other things is the possibility of huge (possibly malignant) growths unable to be detected.
Guess what I'm saying is that ... you don't do anything about them b/c nothing helps. Hope yours turn out better, though
(I did find only nose spray I can tolerate w/o painful reaction is saline solution Ayr, the spray, not the gel)
