You don't say whether your project is on muscular dystrophy, in general, or a specific dystrophy condition.
Muscular dystrophy can be defined as a genetic condition that affects the skeletal muscles, often causing them to cease working causing problems walking, moving and even breathing.
The most common form of the condition is Duchenne muscular dystrophy, which is a recessive sex-linked disorder that is carried on the x-chromosome. This means that only boys of mothers who are carriers get it whereas girls are usually only carriers of the gene. Usually people with this condition don't live long into adulthood.
