my daughter has talsemia she has to take desferal five times a week is there any other treatmen?

Unfortunately, there is no other treatment for Thalassemia other than Regular Blood transfusion and desferal. However by strict dieting you can control the amount of iron you consume everyday.
Try to avoid the following items(with their iron content) in the regular diet:
Organ meat (liver, kidney, spleen)- 5 - 14 mg / 100 g,
Beef- 2.2 mg / 100 g,
Chicken gizzard and liver- 2 - 10mg / 100 g,
Ikan pusu (with head and entrails)- 5.3 mg / 100 g,
Cockles (kerang)- 13.2 mg / 100 g,
Hen eggs- 2.4 mg /whole egg
whole egg, Duck eggs- 3.7 mg / whole egg
Dried prunes / raisins, Peanuts (without shell), other nuts
2.9 mg / 100 g
Dried beans (red, green, black, chickpeas, dhal)- 4 - 8 mg / 100 g
Baked beans- 1.9 mg / 100 g
Dried seaweed- 21.7 mg / 100 g
Dark green leafy vegetables - bayam, spinach, kailan, cangkok manis, kangkung, sweet potato shoots, ulam leaves, soya bean sprouts, bitter gourd, paku, midi, parsley, - > 3 mg 1 100 g
Safe food items (low iron content) are,
Rice and Noodles
Bread, biscuits
Starchy Root vegetables ( carrot, yam,
tapioca, pumpkin, bangkwang, lobak)
Fish (all varieties)
Fruits (all varieties except dried fruits)
Milk, cheese
Oils and Fats.
