Have you had your gallbladder removed? Did it effect your digestion in any way?

Question:

My friend is getting his gallbladder out next weekend. They take it though the belly button. He's a bit scared- and doesn't know if he'll be negatively effected. Does anyone have experience with this? Thanks.

I had no problems at all with mine. I felt much better afterwards with no digestive issues.

I had my gallbladder removed about 2 years ago,I could'nt eat anything for about 2 days without getting sick but after that i was fine, as long as he takes it easy i tried to do laundry a few days after my surgery & i had alot of pain from carrying the basket ,so as long as he stays off his feet for at least a week or so & doesn't eat anything greasey he should be fine
