Has anyone tried the cinnamon and honey treatment for diabetes?

Question:
My husband is type 2 and he is only 45 years old and they have him on so many meds for his condition. I am afraid he is going to wind up dying from overmedication like his grandmother did. She was also type 2 and on too many meds and her heart just gave out one day. I feel that the doctor is just dosing him because of the pharmaceutical companies give them a kickback prescribing these drugs. Serious answers only please.

Answers:
You need to educate your husband and yourself about what each of these drugs are. Diabetes is very serious and attacks so many parts of your system. Do not give up on the meds. His grandmother's heart probably was weak from the diabetes. Talk to the doctor about what each one does and the repurcussions for not taking it. Have him cut down on carboydrates and start excercising (if he doesn't already).
Cinnamon and honey are not a treatment for diabetes, it's a hoax. If you are concerned about over-medicating, talk to your doctor. Some of the drugs may be able to be eliminated. Try loosing weight, as many symptoms of diabetes disappear with weight loss.
