what are the different diseases of the pulmonary circulation?

Question:

Answers:
The only thing that specifically comes to my mind is Pulmonary Hypertension. This can be primary or secondary to another disease and may or may not be severe enough to cause heart failure. Many other diseases and conditions affect pulmonary circulation, and these include the following: Interstitial Lung Disease, Pulmonary Fibrosis, Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia, Chronic Bronchitis, Asthma, COPD, portal hypertension, congenital or aquired heart diseases, and the rare Alveolar Capillary Dysplasia. I am not an expert by any means, so I am sure I left a lot out, but I hope this helps.

Other Answers:
person above me is right -- pulmonary hypertension is merely the effect of any lung problems that can occur because the blood vessels in the lungs constrict whenever the lungs are sick, therefore blood backs up in the pulmonary artery and this can cause right heart failure (aka cor pulmonale)

another disease that can cause pulmonary hypertension is pulmonary edema (water retention in the lungs). the problem stems from the systemic blood pressure (left heart and the body) and water backs up in the lungs because of the retention.
