is there a cure for eczema?
Question:
Answers:
Other than direct treatments of the symptoms, no "cure" for dermatitis is presently known; even cortisone treatments and immunomodulation may often have only minor effects on what may be a complex problem. As the condition is often related to family history of allergies (and thus heredity), it is probable that gene therapy or genetic engineering might help.

there is no cure for eczema, but there are some things that can help.
1-soak in a warm bath with dead sea salts.
2-use olive oil, shea butter and cocoa butter on your skin.
3-eat lots of fruit, and drink water.
I used vitamin E from a liquid capsule I broke open and applied directly to the site. Worked really well. Symptoms gone without reoccurance. Also added Vit E to my diet.
Is it a cure? Even if it were, I think I could be sued or harrassed by med profession folks if i said so. So i'm not saying it's a cure. But i'm still free to relate my experience (thank God).and that's all i did.relate my experience.
Still, i have to provide the discalimer to keep out of legal trouble:

Eczema! I have this and a number of other related skin conditions, and boy can they be miserable to live with.
Aside from some of the other answers here, which are all good, you can see a dermatologist and discuss topical treatments. For your scalp, there are corticosteroid foams (Luxiq for example) and medicinal shampoos you can use. For your face, where doctors do not like us to use steroid treatments, a topical cream called Elidel works wonders.
On the rest of your body Elidel can work, as can a corticosteroid called triamcinolone. I've had good results with all of these.
However if you can get along with over the counter medications, watching your diet (I hear fish and fish oils are good), and paying attention to environmental causes (you may be allergic to something) that's best.
There are, however, no cures for any of these conditions.

Yes! Or at least great relief! Whether you know it or not, your water has billions of microscopic particles (rocks and metals) as well as chemical pollutants. You can not see, smell or taste ALL of what is truly present in your water. Thousands of people who suffer from cronic dry skin, eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis find true relief when they live with (high quality) whole house water purification systems.Even after years of trips to dermatologists.
Rainsoft is a reliable brand with good warranties and good service history. Clean water will not in itself cure eczema, but it will remove the chemicals that effect your skin's natural oil retention and prevent rocks and metals from collecting in your millions of pores.A side note, most major hotels and cruiseships have high end water purification systems.
If you stay in a Marriot, Hilton or a Holiday in you may experience this VERY clean feeling for your skin.Rainsoft.com may be helpful to you. Just remember that doctors are only human, they only know what they know.
not a cure as such but i used to have really bad eczema vertually all over, had tests eventually, alergic to nickel[coins, jewellery, keys etc]also got great stuff from docs to put in bath and always use doublebase after bath/shower.good idea to keep a diary for month or so to see if any food aggrevates it and lastly try and avoid stress as that a major problem.hope this helps as i know how upsetting a flair up can be
There is no cure for Eczema but you should get relief from the itching if you use Aloe Vera Regenerating Cream. Available by mail order direct from www.aloealoeltd.co.uk. It's specially formulated to relieve skin problems such as psoriasis, dermatitis etc and contains no nasty chemicals. Entirely organic. You may also find your problem is caused by your being alergic to some food or drink. Try and think what you aye or drank before a flare up.
i think it really depends on the actual type of excema you have,a friend of mine has a reaaly shitty type all over her scalp. She has a perscription for it. but somtimes under exteem amounts of strees it flairs up. the medication helps it not be so flakey but thats about it.I dont believe there is a cure for any excema but there is treatment to lessen the severity of it but it wont get rid of it ,sorry.
there is no cure. my children have it and they have had to use steroid creams special bathoils and they got tested for different allergies. also my health visitor told me to use morrisons on fabric conditioner (white bottle 92p) and i find that this has really helped

There isn't any cures for eczema, there are only treatments that can help relieve the symptoms. I wish there was though!
