What can I do for itchy spots all over body after a bite by insect?

Question:

Answers:
Like the other person who wrote in, I suggest taking benedryl. My Mom would also put ammonia on bug bites (provided they were not open) and that seemed to work. Also, you might want to try taking a garlic pill before going outside (as a preventative measure).

Other Answers:
Buy a product called bactine it works nearly instantly.
Take some Benedryl to relieve the overall allergic reaction. Use a cortisoid lotion to put on individual itchy spots.
Cortizone cream.
Take an antihistimine like Benydryl for the itch. It may solve your problem. If it is really severe, see a doctor at the emergency room.
calamin lotion. if that doesn't work try aloe vera plant.

This is disgusting I am afraid, but there is a totally natural remedy, that is always within easy reach, and in plentiful supply. Urine is proven to work against almost sall insect bites. You would have to be a bit desperate mind.
I hearde that when bitten by an insect, you should pour alcohol over the wound, then put sunscreen on it. Sunscreen has a certain chemical in it, I don't know what, but it helps the wound and when bitten like on a beach, it also keeps you from getting sunburns :)

If you try it, Good Luck :)
Piriton will sort out the itching. It's a life saver for the tasty ones like me!
If you truly have got bites all over you need to think about fleas, horrible and embarrasing as they are, in this hot weather they thrive. If you have been in contact with a cat, dog or other pet that has been infected that could be the cause. If so you must treat the house as well as the pet.
PIRITON.it works like a miracle from medicine allergies to hayfever.although it makes u drowsy
try Calamine Lotion or Caladryl (a calamine + benadryl preparation).

take two doses of "Avil" daily and don't take curd, brinjal and too spiecy items in ur diet.
Calomine lotion - or lemon juice!

I don't know what insect bit you but lemon is excellent for mosquitos. If you think, they are all called things like citronella, which contain lemon juice!

To stop them biting you in the first place, rub lemon juice over you. You will only need one slice! Oh, and it doesn't stink like some of the things you can buy - nor does it have a half life of about 3 days!

You do get some bits stuck to you, but all you have to do is brush them off when dry.

The lemon juice also takes some of the itch away!
Take an anti-histamine.

For relief whilst you wait for the pill to work get some 'Caladryl' - it's Calamine but in an oil base so it doesn't dry and crack on your skin.
Take Niacin - Vitamin B3. Anti-histamines suppress the bodys reaction to the bite and thats why the lumps go away. B3 can flush it out. You might get a hot flush when u take it but it subsides and is not harmful

It's hard to believe that one bite would give you spots all over your body. Disinfect the bites with an antiseptic or pure rubbing alcohol with a cotton swab. That will take them away right away. Go to the doctor if you can afford to go. Otherwise get some baking soda and make a paste using water and the baking soda and apply it to the so-called bites.
