what do you do when you are allergic to nickel(the button on your pants)?

Question:
i have a rash what can heal it quick its summer i gotta have a good body!

Answers:
Definitely use clear nail polish over the button, a few coats to make sure. But I am also allergic to nickel and had these gorgeous jeans that looked so hot.the nail polish can wear off fairly easily, and I tried a bandaid too - I ended up getting a really nasty sore that turned into a permanent scar - NOT HOT. So try the nail polish but you are best to not let nickel come into contact with your skin at all.

Other Answers:
benadryl for the rash and paint clear nail polish on the button as a barrier between the metal and your skin.

get pants that do not have that button The clear nail pollish one is a good remedy if that does not work then a bandaid is what I did. The nail pollish kept coming off in the wash. If you are a man then just pull your boxers up a bit more, that is supposed to be fashionable anyway.

keep the pants in a drawer, and wear nothin but bikinis

put something on it

Get rid of the exposure. I had nickel in the frames of my glasses, and I had running sores until I got titanium frames. Remove the button or snap and use a generic anti-itch cream and antibiotic cream like neosporin. Avoid future exposure - you wouldn't want this rash to become infected with bacteria.

I have that problem too. Bendaryl or Sarna lotions will help with the itch and help heal the rash. Try painting clear nailpolish as a barrier or tucking your shirt in. The nail polish didn't really work for me so I have to either tuck my shirt in or look for pants without the buttons. Or if I don't want to tuck my shirt in and the pants I'm wearing have buttons, I sewed a small piece of cloth over the nickel button part-you can't see it when I'm wearing the pants and I don't get a rash.

Coating it with something like clear nail polish can work. But if you wear watches and other cheap costme jewellery it won't help as they often contain nickel. As well as eating mushrooms and some seafood products. You can also look for nickle free products to replace the nickle based ones on jeans.
