Has anyone gained weight after finishing Herceptin?

Question: My last dose was on May 9th...I have gained 20 pounds since then. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

I am also on Tamoxifen and in a study where my ovaries are shut down every month.

I've been there. Between the steroids given in conjunction with the chemo and the Tamoxifen, I put on forty pounds! And boy did they come off slowly. Honestly it's taken the better part of three years. First, I switched from Tamoxifen to Arimidex. Then I had to address residual nerve pain resulting from nerve damage due to the chemo. This helped get my activity level back up and slowly, but surely my weight started to drop. Talk to your doctor about your concerns. If he can't offer any advice try your gynecologist or another doctor until you get some help. Good luck!
