Is there a relation between food intolerance and reflux?

Question:
If a baby suffers from reflux and food intolernace, once the reflux gets better, the food intolerance as well?

Answers:
My daughter has reflux and is lactose intolerant. She's 17 months now but the health visitors reckon the reflux caused the lactose intolerance and when the reflux goes her stomach should start to sort itself out. She was really poorly when she was tiny but she does seem to be getting a bit better. She can eat ice cream without being poorly but not proper milk or milk chocolate. I hope this helps, it all seems to be a bit of the unknown and we are just trying stuff every few months to see what happens. If it's your baby who's poorly, good luck I know how knackering it is having a baby who screams all the time cos her tummy hurts and throwing up everywhere!! It does get better and most babies apparently grow out of it all by 8 months. That was when she started getting better and not being sick.
It depends, my little girl had a lactose intolerance which she grew out of but she still vomits pure milk straight back up. Another mum I know her child still has the reflux but the food intolerance isn't as bad.
