what could i eat....?

my sugars are high i'm not on meds no insurance....what are low carb foods...help please!!!! thank you...

Answers:
Contrary to popular belief, you can regulate your blood sugar levels without medication, but it takes A LOT of self-discipline!! You will have to watch what you eat very carefully and exercise daily!

I have provided some links to help you if you seriously want to do this. Also, go to Yahoo! Groups and do a search on Diabetes for over a thousand different support groups to choose from.

Keeping yourself healthy is paramount. If you are not breaking a sweat when you exercise, your blood sugar levels will not go down. If you have the opportunity, pick up the book "Diabetes: Fight It with the Blood Type Diet" by Peter D'Adamo. Knowing your blood type and the kinds of foods you should and should not be consuming is important. Remember: stay away from ALL foods containing MSG!! This raises your blood sugar levels instantly and drastically!

Again, it can be done, but if you're not committed to doing this for yourself, get the assistance of a physician like everyone else. Go to your local branch for the Department of Human (Social) Services and see if you can get on the medicare program.

Good luck!

Other Answers:
Eliminate all foods made with white flour. Eat only whole wheat products. Don't eat anything with white sugar, corn syrup, coconut oil or palm oil. Lose weight and exercise more. Eat more fish.
go to welfare office and see if you qualify for aid and then go to a doctor.
Diet alone won't control high blood sugar, but low carb foods are basically meat, fish, hard cheeses (cheddar, swiss, mozarella, etc.) and non-starchy green vegetables like lettuce, cabbage, broccoli, spinach, green beans or asparagus. Fruits are all mostly high carb. So is any kind of bread , pasta, cereal or grains. If you need help getting meds contact the American Diabetes Association. They may have programs that can help you.
you probably need to get on DM meds! Your doc may be able to sample all that you need. Take care of yourself -- no one else can! Be sure to avoid refined carbs -- eat carbs with high fiber content when eating carbs. Try cinnamon, it's supposed to help. eat tuna and green veggies!
Is it not a shame that there is no help financially for you? There is a carb book for diabetics. Ask your doctor if there is a way for you to get meds free. Montel Williams advertises where you can get free meds. Go to goggle search and type in Montel Williams and you should find help. You must get help.
well if ur blood sugar is too high u need to get sum insulin.
Some low carb foods are meats, (not lunch meat), Tuna, eggs, Cream, milk has quite a few, but Cream has almost zero. Salads, Broccoli, Asparagus. Go to the Adkins website and it will give you a carb counter that you can bookmark on your computer. Stay away from breads, pastas, cereals, things with grains. Almonds are an excellent source of protein.
Good luck.
