If not, and you see no signs of infection now (though the warts may not always be obvious) and most importantly, you yourself have not developed any, then he probably had them before you and was treated. They are viral in nature, however, and often associated with human papillomma virus, so they may recur. Warts are something that someone can have for years, and not even know. He could have gotten them way back when he was younger. Also, you may have them from a long time ago, and passed them on to him, eventhough you might not have any symptoms.

NOW.... It may not be genital. It could be just a regular skin wart that the dermatologist froze off (Chem/Chyro).

You need to discuss it with him, and not lay blame on anyone. there is no way to tell how it was contracted if it is genital.
