my boy friend has severe gum bleeding, could it be a sign of aids?

Question:
He has bad mouth odor too, my friends were saying that he might be infected with hiv. Is it true?

Answers:
No, he's just got gingivitis. Have him see a dentist, get him a soft toothbrush, and encourage/remind him to brush regularly. Frequent mouthwash will help too. He should probably brush even more than x3 a day, until his condition improves. And he should brush GENTLY and SLOWLY. This will help avoid bleeding.

If his gingivitis was a sign of AIDS, he'd have a lot of other illnesses too. If you're concerned about HIV because of risky behavior, have him get tested. That's the only way to ease your mind.

Other Answers:
It's probably gingivitis(gum disease)

no it could be a sign of gum disease gingivitis he needs to go see a dentist Just not to risk. send him to the doc.
that's the easiest way to find it out.
Good luck!.

no..it means he probably has gingivitis.. or gum disease which can be treated by a dentist and good oral hygiene. He is fine, he just needs to see a dentist. In the meantime be sure he brushes his teeth well and flosses and uses a mouthwash like Listerine. Sounds more like gum disease. He should go to a dentist or better yet a periodontist. If it's a really bad case, he may need gum surgery to remove the decaying tissue, otherwise he'll lose his teeth if untreated.

YES!! It's most definitely "the aids".
Run, don't walk, to the nearest bakery and start eating some chocolate cheesecake. Only THIS will make it go away.

gingervitis not aids!!

It probably gum disease or it could be this teeth or his jaw it could be a number of different things he should go to a dentist and a doctor to figure out whats wrong.
