Getting lip pierced if I have a skin condition..?
Question:
But I really want to get my lip pierced. I highly doubt psoriosis can be on your lip, but Im afraid it just might go on my face or something. Anyone know?
Answers:
i am not sure but i have had eczema for about 3 or 4 years and i swear i think it came from some sterling silver rings i had started wearing (like you getting your ears pierced). i understand your concern because i won't get a tattoo for the same reason. but may talk to your doctor or the person who would peirce it. good luck.

go to a tattoo shop and ask them what they think.they are professionals at what they do and they could answer your question
I think it would be ok..
I suspect when you got your ears pierced, it was at a place like Claires or some other mall place, where they did it with a gun.which is the most traumatic way to pierce your skin.
If you get your lip pierced, they will use a hollow needle.I have had a lot of piercings, and the ones on my lip are the only ones not to get infected or anything.
I'm not sure, but definitely ask the piercer when you go. The psoriasis thing probably doesn't matter..
Good luck! I also have psoriasis and have researched it quite extensively. It is true that skin trauma can aggravate it so you would be taking a gamble. According to what I’ve read the only places you can’t get lesions is inside your mouth and the surface of your eyes.
I had one just inside of my left nostril for a short time. Very irritating.
