Is chlorine bad for psoriasis? Or is it helpful?
Question:
Answers:
Chlorine is bad for it, because it has a drying effect. Cortizone cream is better for it. It not only stops some of the itching,it heals too. If you go swimming alot, be sure to shower immediately afterwards and put a hypo-allergenic moisturizer on.

Chlorine is bad for every living thing. There's not much that can withstand chlorine. That's why it's used in swimming pools, etc. It's also a good bleaching agent. It's not good for people and therefore it's definitely not good for psoriasis. Hope this helps.
chlorine is bad for psoriasis, but if you want to go into a swimming pool, i use a moisturize afterwards, which stops it drying so much, ive had psoriasis for 20yrs and i find nivia soft the best to use
