avoid cold air is really the only thing you need to do - and even then you can go skiing etc as long as you use your inhalers!swimming is good to leanr to control your breathing as is gym work to build up your muscles, pilates or similar
provided you have good medication and use a little prior to sport there is nothing you can try or do!

You might want to try something like boxing or karate where you don't have to run around alot. My brother has asthma and he can't play sports where he has to run alot, but when he took up karate, he had no trouble breathing.Asthma is a serious condition and you may need to take medicine so you can breathe well enough to play. Once you are on the right medicine to control your breathing, sports you might want to consider are swimming, jogging/walking, and weightlifting. Good luck.

Having asthma shouldn't stop your kids from physical activity. I have two kids ages 10 and 15 and they were always using albuterol, but that is only supposed to be used occasionally. If you use it more than twice a day for over two weeks the asthma isn't being controlled. You need to have your son on something like Advair for about 3-4 months. Take him to the doctor. Albuterol is only for sudden attacks. Advair is for inflamed lungs and should only be used for a few months to get back on track.Source(s):

Croquet is pretty fun and is played at a slow pace. You should also be okay with Darts. Those are the two I'd recommend first. If they dont appeal to you, you can also try golfing, miniature golfing, bowling (just use a light -weight ball), frisbee golf, frisbee, disc golf, and maybe you can try playing catch with someone. Hope this helps.

How do the seeing impaired test, and read/determine results of daily blood sugar diabetes tests?
Jerome Bettis, who recently retired as the Pittsburgh Steelers' running back, played over 10 years in the NFL and is asthmatic. I would keep trying to find a sport and not limit myself to chess or ping-pong as some have suggested.I'm asthmatic and i go swimming loads and hardly ever have attacks caused by it.
Although as long as you have your inhalers and stuff i i dont see why you cant do most stuff, mind you i cant go running because i allways with out fail have an attack. meh! oh well. But yeah swmming is good
p.s. im 15 to! yay!
