my moms hair iz fallin out cause of a disease called alopecia areta! if anyone else has this pleaze read more!

Question: im 12and my mom has a disease called alopecia areta.itz a disease where it causes her hair 2 fall out in patches. she has 2 get 37 shots in her head every month. itz growin bak but not as quickly as we hope. she wheres a hat every day 2 cover up the embarrasing spots its not deadly but if your a women then you no how horrible it would be. if you have thiz disease or have had thiz disease then please tell me how you got better or how you covered it up when you had it. and itz also hereditary so do you no the chances of me gettin it when im older sooooooooooo PLEASE help me out if you can !!thanks so much!!

i have heard of alopecia, but i don't know a lot of information about it, but i found some websites that might help. i hope that they are useful for you.

i dont have the disease but my friend has it she is about 15 the disease really hasnt effected her life she wears bandanas on her head and doesnt really care what anyone thinks about the bald spots she always tells me if people dont like it then they dont have to look and her great grandmother had the disease and it skipped 2 generations so who knows.
