Is there anything else besides diabetics that would cause my 11 year old son to have a high blood sugar count
I had a blood sugar test and the results after a 10 hr. fast was 108. Is this a high number?

I was tested as a child, and I had high blood sugar, but not diabetes. There are so many wierd things that a body does to regulate itself, so if your son is diagnosed, get a second and third opinion, if you can. Its best to be sure.

Some people have naturally high blood sugar. I do. Kids who stress alot have high blood sugar. Also most kids eat lots of junk food loaded with carbs and sugar. Just cut down on the sugar intake for awhile and see if it helps him.

When my son was diagnosed 13 years ago the symptoms were they same as leukemia, not saying this is what he had but, they do have some of the same symptoms. Take him to the doctor and let them run the tests it doesn't take long at all to find out what it is! Good Luck!!!
