My girlfriend has polycystic liver and kidney disease..has no problems..if your wife is legal to drive, no reason to give anyone selling auto insurance her medical history...ssssssshhhhh!!!
You should be able to find plenty of ins companies that will insure your wife however, you will have to pay high premiums for her coverage. Look through your local phone book at call around.
Considering your wife's pre-existing conditions, it is going to be extremely hard for her to get insurance. The first place you should start is with your local social security department. They can provide you with information about medicare. If your wife qualifies for medicare, many insurance companies have a medigap or medicare type program for people with medicare. I used medicare when I had ESRD (end stage renal disease). Good luck and I wish you the best in your search.
i know for a fact blue cross blue shiedl premium cov. is amzing for diabetes and we have alot of odd diseases in our family so i suppose they may be able to help you
Call your State Department of Insurance and tell them your situation. They may be able to give you advice on this.
All insurance companies by law have to cover you now but if there is a break in coverage they can band coverage for those pre-existing problems for a year. Most states provide insurance for people in certain risk pools. My son can have insurance because he has diabetes in Maryland. Try using social services and your health department for help. Even if you go over the income in Maryland there are resonable payments. Good luck we have played the insurance game on and off for 11 years. Even Social Security if she has a degree of disability may help. They wrote us a letter saying when my son had kidney damage lose of limb, heart failure etc.. to reapply. They say 1st time automatic rejection so you have to apply twice.
Insurance companies need profits .They can not render service with empathy.
Technically, insurance companies cannot turn you down because of medical conditions. Unfortunately, they can increase the cost based on conditions. (This may be a state law in IL or may be Nat'l, not sure) People who might know what to do or where to go: Doctor, Doctor's HIPPA agent, insurance rep, social worker, Business people at the hospital/doctor's office.

Hope this helps some
