Why causes the eyes not to constict? My 3 year old has this problem.?

Question: We recently went to the DR and when the Dr was shining the light in his eye, his pupils stayed dialated.

Answers:
You should have asked the doctor right then and there why that happened. Didn't the doctor make a comment about it? He certainly would have recognized the abnormality of it all.

It needs investigating further,It could be a neurological problem or he may just need to wear glasses
