Does anyone have bad sinus problems later in the evening?

Question:
I was diagnosed with a sinus infection, and am on antibiotics now for around 24 hours. My symptoms seem to worsen in the late afternoon or early evening. I get very tired, and my eyes get heavy. Does anyone get the same symptoms?

Answers:
I recently found out that I have developed an allergy to certain grasses. At night histamines are worse. You may have gotten a sinus infection from allergies going untreated. Your sinus infection may be treated with antibiotics but your allergies will not be therefore they still affect you. Take an antihistamine such as benadryl at night since it makes you drowsy to see if this helps. There are several non-drowsy antihistamines that help also such as Claritin D.

Depending on where you live, when the ozone is heavy on a hot day people report having sinus problems, as do people with respitory problems. (asthma, emphysema)
try avoiding milk products..
There is a possibility that allergies may be compounding the problems. If you dont' respond to allergies very much, you may respond more if you have a sinus infection. I have trouble with mold and when I get near some, it makes the sinus symptoms worse.
yes this happens to me too. I've had a sore throat for the last few days and during the day its tolerable but at night it keeps me up and it hurts. when you lay down the drainage passage ways seem to get stopped up. your antibiotics will kick in soon and help clear that all up for you. just relax and give it some time.
Ido.they said when Iwas born they saidI was born was with a sinus problom they had to put me under a light

Sinus problems can get worse in the evening due to the night air. Night air tends to be cooler and often more damp than air during the day. A humidifier or dehumidifier may help ease your symptoms at night.
