what exactly is a lympnoid?
Question:
Answers:
It's a Lymph Node. You have them under your armpits, throat, groin and another area I'm missing. Because the Lymph is close to the breasts (if that's the cancer your mother has) then it is easy to spread to the Lymphatic System. This is dangerous because your Lymph Nodes help produce your white blood cells, and are used when your sick. That's one reason your throat get's sore on the outside when you have a cold. Having cancer in the Lymph makes it easy to spread through the body quickly. That's why it's so important to get rid of it there.
Also, swelling can occur in the limbs where lymph nodes have been removed. Your lymph isn't connected to your circulatory system, but it does a lot at getting excess fluid out of your system. Especially when you exercise, get massaged, those kinds of things help keep the lymphatic system moving.
