I need some advise...?

Question:

I have a friend who has an infection in the esophagus. This person is my best friend. We have been through alot of good times & bad times. And this one takes the cake. He has built a wall around him & doesn't feel like talking to anybody or seeing anybody including me. I feel he is going down the road of depression and that is not good. Any advise on how to help? Thank you in advance.

Tell him untreated sore throats can be dangerous if they don't clear up on their own if a few days. In these cases it is usually Strep throat and Strep throat can be fatal. The Strep bacteria is found in everyone's throat and is always there and your body fights is off quite sucessfully. However, when your body loses the ability to fight off Strep, Strep on it's own can be fatal, but even worse, it is an indication that your immune system is not working properly and you can quickly become sick with other infections. Sore throats that do not get better quickly are nothing to fool around with. You should always go see the Doctor when that happens. If you have a sore throat for three days, on the fourth go see the Doctor. No if ands or buts.

seek help from your local mental health office . and make them aware so they can send out a crises worker to evaluate him .
