Allergic Reaction?

Question:
Recently everytime I bathe or shower my legs get extremely itchy, I cant stop itching them its really bad. I've began bathing and showering in just water and a clean sponge to see if it was my shower gel but that hasn't even worked, could my legs be allergic to water? Or is that impossible

Answers:
There's a couple of things that could be affecting your skin. It could be the water..call the city water department and ask them if there has been any changes in the chemicals they are putting in it. It could also just be summer. We've had an extremely warm summer and dry skin has become a big problem. Have you cleaned your tub with a detergent recently that you may not have gotten completely rinsed out good. Try using soaps with as little perfume as possible. Lots of people are allergic to perfumes. Same applies to lotions. Change your razor. Don't use the same one that you were using at the time you started having this problem. If all else fails, see your doctor.

is the water too hot? that can set off a reaction.
Could be chemicals in the water, collect local water and try that.

It is possible to be allergic to water, but i wouldn't know if you were. Maybe the water is to harsh and you might need a water softener. ask a water company(like Culligan) about those.
