side effects of (Levofloxacin)L. (Fluconazole)Di. and (Cetirizine)Zyr. if taking all together?

Question:
my husband is taking these 3 diffirent medecines for 2 days now, im just wondering if there is side effects taking 3 diffirent meds?

Answers:
Levofloxacin is an antibiotic and Diflucan in an anti fungal. Zyrytec is a second generation antihistamine (actually a different name for it but it escapes me at the moment) Now common side effects of the combination of the first two together or individually are diarrhea and nausea. When taken together though not as likely but absolutely possible is the occurrence of external yeast infections or Thrush(yeast infection of throat or mouth) This is very common when strong antibiotics are taken, though it is less likely with the usage of diflucan it CAN occur. Zyrtec typically has little to no interactions, but be sure to tell your PHARMACIST all medications being taken.

Other Answers:
No you should be fine. The levofloxacin is an antibiotic, the diflucan is for yeast which may be caused from the antibiotic and the zyrtec is for allergies.
These three together are not generally a problem. They all have their own side effects and each also interacts with several other classes of drugs. The Levox and Diflucan in particular should not be used long-term.
