i have a high platelet count, can someone tell me what this might mean? i am revisiting the DR tomorrow,.?

Don't be too concerned. Unless the number is over 500,000 just wait a month and get it checked again. Sometimes the platelet counts will go up if you are under physical or emotional stress or if you have recently been fighting an infection. Make sure your doctor is experience and calm. Don't consent to lots of additional testing until a repeat test in a month is done. Good luck, I am sure things will work out well for you!
