I also have ulcertive colitis i was diagnosed with it about 5 years ago. i do not ahve it as severe. Asocol and steroids for it. I stoped taken the medisine about 2 years ago on my own. Now i am having problems again. sleeping on my bathroom floor from it. it can get pretty bad.

yeah its definetly right up there. just be thankful youre alive and dont have a terminal illness If you have it i bet you feel it is the worst

I won't say consider yourself lucky

but there are many terrible things out there like flesh eating bacteria, or leprosy, or virulent forms of cancer, multiple sclerosis

and don't forget pumocystis pneumonia associated with aides

but i really do feel for you, i have seen much suffering with ulcerative colitis

lets hope stem cell research will be allowed soon, and many of these diseases will be history I've had UC for 5 years. I started taking some probiotics from www.gutdoctor.co.uk called CP1, they worked really well after a day or two and I haven't had any bleeding since I started taking them (about a year ago.)
I still get abdominal pain every day but find that having two cigarettes in the morning and two in the evening really helps.
Also I've found that taking magnesium every day helps a lot and gave me my appetite back.
Before these things I was in a hell of a state; constantly in discomfort or pain and kept losing jobs through illness.so yeah it's seriously bad if you ask me.
