STDs Through Urine?

Question:
Can Dr.'s detect STDs through blood test and urine other than HIV..?

Answers:
Yes, chlamydia and gonorrhea can be detected by a urine sample.

Herpes, hepatitis, HIV, and syphillis are all tested by a blood sample.

Genital herpes is generally diagnosed when sores are present. The person is given a physical exam of the area and the doctor can swab the sores. Sometimes a women is given a pap smear.

Trichomoniasis is tested by taking a swab of fluid from a male's urethra or from a female's vagina.
