Doxycycline is a rather common antibiotic used for a number of ailemnts. I would consult a physician.
if thats wut u were prescribed by a dermatogolist then u follow their procedures if i was prescribed by somebody else u would have to contact them and maybe see their dermatogolist if they have one and ask them. they may have a certain time for u to take it. may be a month or pending on results.
Not more than 4 days TDS, excessive will harm your immune system, for better results go for ayurvedic treatments.
Didn't your doctor advise you about that when they prescribed it to you? Have you read the information on or in the packet? If your doctor did not explain the treatment fully, get a new doctor and ask them, I would hate for you to follow incorrect advice on a web site and then you get sick or something, you need to get the proper dosage etc, check back with a doctor.
I've seen it given from age 13 to 20.
Long term low-dosage antibiotics for acne are effective. The main problem is fungal infections since long-term antibiotics depress the immune response and fungus is unaffected by antibiotics. I take antibiotics for rosacea and periodically stop to allow my body to catch up. It can take awhile before the acne returns anyway.

The way antibiotics work against acne isn't fully known, but the main theory is that it has an anti-inflammatory effect and suppresses specific acids in the skin that inflame it, causing the pustules. it has nothing to do with bacteria in the skin, oddly enough.
21 DAYS MAXIMUM,THEN TAKE A14 DAYS BRAKE(EAT A LOT OF YOGURT)AFTER IS BETTER TO CHANGE THE CLASS OF ANTIBIOTIC(AUGMENTINE).TREATME. IS MOORE EFFICIENT WHEN COMBINED WITH B COMPLEX VITAMINS.GOOD LUCK!
You can take Doxycycline for up to 6 months without problem. I agree it can set you up for a mild yeast infection but usually this is mild. Remember, this medicine can make you sun sensitive so wear sun block in the summer weather. You should never take this medicine if you are pregnant. You should not take this medicine with dairy products. Good luck with your acne. It will get better, but Doxycycline usually takes a least a month before you see any results. Be patient!
