What is a good allergy medicine that's non prescription?
Question:
Answers:
i usually use claritan (generic=loratidine) on light to moderate allergy days or chlortrimeton (generic=chlorpheneramine on bad days (works better but makes you a bit drowsy so i dont use it if im working). benadryll (generic=diphenhydramine) is probably the best OTC antihistamine but it makes you really sleepy so i dont use it. they market the same drug as a sleep aid (unisom, tylenol pm, and a couple others) because of the drowsiness side effect
so basically id say
claritan<chlortrimeton<benadyr. but the the better the drug, the more drowsy youll get

claritin is non-drowsy and works pretty well. i'd say about 90%. which is good for over the counter. Claritin, Benadryl or the one I take is Tylenol Severe Allergy & Sinus (green & yellow box)
I take a homeopathic remedy. The brand name is "Heel, BHI for homeopathy, Allergy". They are dissolvable tablets, and can be taken 1 tab every five minutes until you feel relief.
You can order it from The Heritage Store in Virginia Beach, VA.
http://www.caycecures.com/ Claritin works wonders on the eyes adnd if you go to Europe you can buy Zyrtec without a prescription and that is specifically for skin and eye allergies. Also try Sudefed, that wone works too.
