Has anyone ever gotten a high heart rate from wellbuterin or mirtazipine?

Question:
I read in my pharmacolagy book that it can cause high heart rate and irregular beats but when I told my doctor he dismissed it.

Answers:
There are people that have taken Welbutrin and have had an elevated heart rate. I saw a story on http://www.rxlist.com/rxboard/wellbutrin.pl?noframes;read=3160 where someone has experienced what you are going through with this. I am sure that there are many others that are experiencing it.

Also, you said that your doctor dismissed it. If you feel like he is not listening you may want to get a new one or reapproach the subject and ask him why he skipped over it.

I have listed some places where you can do some reading into this and see what you feel about and hopefully may answer some questions you have about these drugs.

Other Answers:
Show you concerns again to your doc but also listen to his recommendations or get a second opinion.
Bust wasy is to se a doc about something else then bring this up with him and see what he thinks.
One of the side effects of Mirtazapine is anxiety. This can sometimes lead to the side effects mentioned. It is believed most of the negative side effects of this drug are related to the blockage of histamine receptors.
I am on wellbutrin XL 150. I had iriate heartbeat before and still do. My doctor said that I was fine though.
Yeah, I have read tons in my Pharm book that doctors don't stress to patients, and don't consider. Like certain drugs and interactions, or that they may be contraindicated with others. and when I'm in clinicals and bring it up, they just dismiss it. I once had to crush EC Tylenol. when it said not too. Crazy, doctors. Thank God for nurses!
doctors will from time to time disprove medications long term effects.i beleive if you take a med for a long time you can start having a few of these effects

ive read about both and they seem to be fine with certain people but with a small percentage having rapid heart rate and higher than normal blood pressure.
