Herpes come in a cluster of small blisters. I thought I has a yeast infection but to my surprise I had herpes and was happily married I thought. Since then 15yrs now, I have had a child and haven't had a out break in years. I have remarried and my husband is not infected nor is my child. If you think it is something get it checked out. Good Luck

It can be one sore or many, it just depends on the person. Sometimes they also appear as shallow ulcers, without a "blister" appearance. See your doctor if you think you have herpes. There is a culture than can be done to confirm this, but it has to be done while you have a sore. Herpes is spread through direct contact. So, a genital herpes infection will stay in the area it originated unless transferred elsewhere via direct contact or skin-to-skin transference. Herpes won't just show up on its own somewhere else on the body. Because herpes is spread through direct contact, it is important to avoid contact with infected areas. If a herpes infection is not localized, further complications may occur. For instance, a Herpes infection in the eyes can lead to severe complications, including blindness.

So it can show up as several sores on different areas of your body but only if there has been skin on skin contact with an already infected area.
