Can you spread herpes by touching with your fingers?

Question:

Answers:
Yes. When I had my initial outbreak, my OBGYN said to not share anything with my little brothers (because I shared a bathroom with them). She told me to always wash my hands, and not touch anything they might use without washing my hands first (like the blow dryer, sink, hand-towel, etc). If you aren't having an outbreak then it's okay.

When I got herpes I just turned 17 and I was so concerned and scared my little brothers might get it, so I took every precaution I could take.

No, actually in school (college) I have learned that you can only pass herpes through sexual contact and through bodily fluids, other than that no you can't just by touching them with your fingers.
Yes, it is possible IF..Herpes is spread by direct skin-to-skin contact. For example, if you have a HSV 1 cold sore and kiss someone, the virus can be transferred and the person you kiss will get HSV 1. If you have active HSV 2 genital herpes and have vaginal or anal intercourse, the virus can be transmitted to your partner. And, if you have a HSV 1 or HSV 2 cold sore and put your mouth on a partner s genitals (oral sex), the partner can acquire the herpes virus.

Yes.there are two types of Herpes.Type 1 is the cold sore..can't be transmitted by contact.Type !! is the sexually transmitted kind and yes you can have a outbreak in your mouth or your private area and transmitted to each other..unfortuntaly it has been found that Herpes II is so small that it can passed through a small microscopic opening in a condom..you can have been exposed to Herpes II and not be aware of it until you have a outbreak. I get this information first hand since I am a nurse and have seen many cases of it where I work and I with professsionals (OB/GYN physicians) who treat this everyday.
