Does anyone know about CF? What causes it?
Question:
Answers:
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic condition that involves glands found throughout the body. Because of this, CF can affect many different organs. Symptoms frequently involve the lungs and digestive system. Obstruction, infection, and inflammation in the lungs are among the most common characteristics of CF.
In CF, thick mucus in the lungs obstructs airways and allows bacterial infection and inflammation to occur. White blood cells called neutrophils are sent to fight these infections. When the neutrophils die, they release DNA and elastase, which further thicken the mucus and cause additional airway obstruction, infection, and inflammation.

im not sure, ask a doctor or look it up
maybe it would help if you told us what CF is Cystic Fibrosis is a hereditary condition. People with CF are typically lacking cilia (microscopic "mucus brushes"), which are very important in order to maintain a clear airway. This is why people with CF need to have CPT (chest physiotherapy) performed on them a few times a day.
I also have a form of CF and it is genetic. I have a very rare form of it and the only way they could tell was by DNA testing. I have been coping with it for almost 40 years. I also have bronchiectasis, which was how the doctors thought to test for CF. When I was young, the doctors did not know what was wrong with me, but now with advanced DNA testing, they know. There are hundreds of forms of CF.
There is no debate over the cause within orthodox medicine. The assumption is it is congenital, and completely a defect in the genes.
Dr. Wallace, though, postulates it is a deficiency (perhaps in the mother while preganant) of DHA (an essential fatty acid), and selenium that causes the destruction of the pancreas, and various other symptoms. The most promising research, by the way, on ways to correct the defect is to take something called Tumeric. I would go to PubMed.com and search the term Tumeric and CF and see what you get. If you have specific questions email me at www.centrumistoxic.com so that I can share the information I have gleaned throughout my experience with this disease. Good luck, and remember, there are cases of people with CF who have lived into their late 70's. Conventional medicine is not trying to find the solution..antibiotics, and similar toxic approaches dominate, and perhaps worsen the disease. a sodium channel pump is the genetic insult, caused by this autosomal recessive disease.
Primarily, the lungs "leak" fluid into the lungs, as the fluid follows the sodium "leak" allowed by the defective membrane protein.
This same effect happens in the pancreas, usually a little later in life, but can present early too.
Remember how the slug dries up when you put salt on it, try to imagine it in reverse. That's only a loose example.
